Seeking experienced leader with strong background underwriting commercial surety bonds to drive development of underwriting strategy, provide leadership to underwriting team, and support upper management profitability and production goals.

• Grow and manage a profitable book of business aimed at meeting upper management profit goals and other targets.
• Develop relationships with customers, producers, agents, and reinsurers.
• Create, manage, and modify underwriting guidelines, coverage forms, and rates.
• Oversee recruitment and training to ensure staff underwriters stay within underwriting authority.

Base salary to $130,000, bonus plan; company matched 401(K) and pension; full family company paid prescription, medical and dental plan; discounted personal lines insurance; fitness club membership; tuition reimbursement; credit union; generous vacation and paid time off; up to 4 weeks paid vacation.
