Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.\nAssess, prepare and position patients for procedures. Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.\nPrepare, implement and document plan of care. Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.\nPerform and / or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.\nPerform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.\nContribute to Mission effectiveness by promoting the spirit embodied with the Mission Statement : \nService to the poor - Support the cause of those who lack resources for a reasonable quality of life.\nReverence - Respect and compassion for the dignity and diversity of life.\nIntegrity - Inspiring trust through personal leadership.\nWisdom - Integrating excellence and stewardship.\nCreativity - Courageous Innovation.\nDedication - Affirming hope and joy in our ministry.

Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with patient, family, and members of the healthcare team.\nAssess the physical and psychological status of patients, provide interventions / treatments and evaluate effectiveness of care to achieve desired patient outcomes.\nEvaluate learning needs of patient and family and provides age-specific and culturally appropriate education. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration : \nAdvanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.\nBLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.\nLicensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition 'Compact State' obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.\nEducation : \nDiploma from an accredited school / college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of\nhire.
