Job description

Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring for a Senior Accountant for our client in Thomasville, GA. This is an onsite, contract position for 3 months (could possibly extend).

Responsibilities :

  • Posting journal entries into general ledger
  • Performing month end close
  • Reconciling bank / GL / balance sheet accounts
  • Accounts Payable : Processing invoices utilizing PO matching and reconciling vendor statements
  • Accounts Receivable : posting cash / checks / ACH payments
  • Performing audit support

Experience :

  • Minimum of two years of full cycle accounting experience required
  • Prior accounting / ERP software experience required

    • Skills / Knowledge :

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills are essential (specifically Excel : VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
  • Great multi-tasker, detail-oriented and deadline driven
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills

    • Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

    • Work Hours / Pay Rate :

  • Monday-Friday - 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8 : 30-5 : 30)
  • $35-38 / hr.
