About The Position

About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced PA proficient in first assisting for CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy / lung resection cases. You’ll play an essential role in both the OR and inpatient settings (ICU & telemetry) — ensuring seamless surgical support and outstanding patient outcomes.

🕓 Schedule Highlights :

1–2 call days per week

1 weekend per month (Friday 7 AM – Monday 7 AM)

Duties include rounds, procedures, and surgery support

Start Date : As soon as credentialed

💼 Key Responsibilities :

First assist in cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries

Perform vein harvesting and chest tube placement

Provide post-operative and ICU care

Collaborate closely with a dynamic team of surgeons

📋 Requirements :

Active Kentucky PA license (or ability to obtain)

Board Certified Physician Assistant

ACLS and BLS certifications required

Clean malpractice history preferred

Must be comfortable performing procedures independently
