Pretorian Labs is seeking a skilled and dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our on-site laboratory team in Massillon, OH. The Laboratory Technician will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of clinical specimens to support patient care. This position requires a reliable individual with experience in clinical laboratory settings, proficiency with point-of-care analyzers, phlebotomy expertise, and the ability to work independently while maintaining excellent client interactions.

Requirements : Key Responsibilities

• Specimen Processing : Process blood, urine, and nasal swab specimens using point-of-care analyzers in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Phlebotomy : Perform venipuncture and other blood collection techniques to obtain specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to CLIA regulations and safety protocols.
• Sample Management : Check in and log incoming samples, ensuring proper documentation and chain of custody.
• Result Validation : Validate and verify test results to ensure accuracy and compliance with laboratory protocols.
• Equipment Operation : Operate and maintain chemistry analyzers and other laboratory equipment, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Quality Control : Adhere to quality control and assurance protocols to maintain compliance with CLIA regulations for Moderate Complexity testing.
• Client Interaction : Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, including patients and healthcare providers, to address inquiries and provide test-related information.
• Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and organized records of test results, quality control data, and laboratory activities.
• Compliance : Ensure all laboratory activities, including phlebotomy procedures, comply with CLIA regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

An associate degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution; OR
