Job description

Contingent Strategic Sourcing Manager

This is a 5 month contract, full-time (40 hours / week), remote role with core availability required between 8am - 5pm Pacific Coast hours. Summary We are seeking a hands-on, highly responsive, and detail-oriented Strategic Sourcing Manager to support fast-paced, high-turnaround procurement needs. This role is critical for ensuring efficient execution of sourcing requests across multiple business areas while maintaining compliance and process integrity. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, serving as a reliable point of contact for internal stakeholders and vendors.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or strategic sourcing within fast-paced or technology-driven environments
  • Passion for procurement and vendor management with a strong foundation in sourcing execution, contract coordination, and supplier engagement
  • Proficient in Workday, ServiceNow, and other ticketing or sourcing platforms, with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Familiar with RFP / RFQ processes, vendor evaluation, and procurement compliance
  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams including Technology, Marketing, Finance, Legal, People, and M&A
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple requests simultaneously, and prioritize competing priorities
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting business needs and timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and the ability to create structure in ambiguous situations

Job Description

  • Own rapid-turnaround sourcing requests with minimal guidance, ensuring timely and accurate execution
  • Partner with multiple business stakeholders to manage procurement processes, lead sourcing events, and onboard vendors efficiently
  • Manage and maintain sourcing tickets and documentation in internal systems
  • Communicate progress, bottlenecks, and resolutions to stakeholders via Slack and ticketing tools
  • Drive alignment across Finance, Legal, Compliance, Security, and functional teams
  • Support spend forecasting, supplier rationalization, and strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Continuously identify process improvements to enhance throughput and operational efficiency

    • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Background in procurement, sourcing, or strategic vendor management
  • Experience in high-growth or technology environments is a plus

    • Additional Requirements

  • This opportunity is remote, with core Pacific Coast hours required between 10 : 00am-2 : 00pm PST, Monday-Friday
  • Must be able to handle workload spikes and provide back-to-back leave coverage independently
  • The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $47-$49.70 per hour
  • This position may be eligible for benefits such as PTO, health and dental insurance, and / or 401(k) based on tenure and hours worked
