Job description:

This stable, manufacturing company in Menifee is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Document Control Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and organizing all company documents, including 2D and 3D models created in SolidWorks. Your primary objective will be to ensure accurate documentation control, version control, and accessibility of engineering drawings, models, and related technical documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain an efficient document control system to manage all company documents, including engineering drawings, 2D and 3D models, specifications, and related technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to collect and organize new and existing engineering drawings and models.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documents, performing quality checks to verify information integrity.
  • Manage the revision control process, including the issuance, tracking, and archiving of document versions.
  • Maintain the document management system, ensuring proper categorization, tagging, and indexing of files for easy retrieval.
  • Support document release processes, including reviewing and approving document change requests and ensuring proper distribution of revised documents.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with document control procedures and standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on document control processes and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve document control workflows and implement process enhancements.
  • Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to document control and SolidWorks.

Requirements:

  • 2 years Proven experience working as a Document Control Specialist
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks is a big plus; ERP experience is also preferred
  • Strong understanding of document control principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with ISO and other relevant quality management system standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and consistency in documentation.
  • Proficient in using document management systems and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
