Must be able to climb a minimum 30 ft ladder Maximum unassisted lift = 70 lbs. Average lift less than 50 lbs. Field Service Controls Technician Job Description We are looking for a full time traveling Field Service Controls Technician with experience in product installation to help take our company to the next level. As a small-medium sized business in the emerging energy efficiency and renewable energy space, our goal is to grow sales and become a national leader. Our national network of engineers and technicians is unique in this field and provides a solid platform for future growth.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate exceptional communication and integrity while maintaining a high level of service excellence.
Field Service Controls Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Install and / or commission control systems for commercial kitchen ventilation.
- Install low 230+ volt and electrical equipment Perform site surveys of commercial kitchen ventilation hoods and mechanical systems.
- Perform site meetings to coordinate various trades for product installation.
- Deliver formal site training to end ‐ users (kitchen staff and site engineers).
- Write technical reports at project completion for submission to customer.
- Provide technical support to customers and contractors to resolve issues rapidly and thoroughly.
- Make recommendations for potential service enhancements or modifications to meet the ever-changing needs of the customer. Manage all travel arrangements once jobs are assigned each week, including and changes that may occur while on the road.
- Submit weekly expense reports.
- Participate in weekly safety meetings. 100%+ travel required (regional, national, or international) Other job duties as assigned.
