About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a 3-day locum tenens assignment in New Mexico. This opportunity starts on Dec 21, 2025, and involves overnight shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM as a solo practitioner within the unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and the ability to independently manage advanced procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
Independently manage critical care patients overnight as the sole provider within the unitPerform advanced procedures including arterial and central line placement, intubations, and chest tube insertionsRespond to on-call needs as the critical care providerCollaborate with ER and Hospitalist night physicians as neededProduce and provide recent case logs (minimum 25 of each required procedure within the last year)Stabilize cardiac, GI, interventional radiology, and surgical cases for transfer when necessaryUtilize Powerchart EMR for documentation and patient managementAdditional Information
Minimum 2-3 years of continuous critical care experience required; no training or proctoring providedMust be able to perform all required procedures independentlyValid New Mexico license requiredAcute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications requiredBenefits
