Job descriptionProvide advanced critical care services within the ICU Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and complex patient cases Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care Perform procedures and interventions within the scope of critical care practice Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory standards Wisconsin NP license required Board certification required : Critical Care Medicine (AANP or ANCC for FNP) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required Credentialing process may take up to 90 days; expedited or emergency credentialing available for candidates with clean backgrounds Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Wisconsin, starting Feb 16, 2026. This opportunity offers 12-hour shifts, either 7a-7p or 7p-7a, focused on critical care and ICU duties. Candidates must be licensed in Wisconsin and board certified in Critical Care Medicine.
