Description :

The position requires a compact registered nurse license.

BLS certification is required.

Shifts are 12-hour days.

Time off requests will be accommodated.

Candidates must wear navy blue scrubs.

The unit consists of 31 beds for adult patients.

The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1 : 5 on days and 1 : 6 on nights.

Common equipment includes IVs, IV pumps, wound vacs, SCD machines, CPM machines, feeding pumps, oxygen, remote telemetry packs, and PCA pumps.

Top diagnoses and procedures include cholecystitis, appendicitis, diverticulitis, pneumonia, cellulitis, bowel obstruction, wound care, total joint replacements, bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, and spine surgery.
