Job Overview – Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET / CT) :
Compensation : $60 – $66 / hour
Location : Boston, MA
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM
Step into a high-impact role as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET / CT) with our client in Boston, MA. This full-time position focuses on performing advanced PET / CT imaging using radiopharmaceuticals and digital systems. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Siemens Biograph mCT, radiotracer handling, venipuncture, PACS workflows, and strict adherence to ALARA and USP
safety protocols.
Responsibilities as the Nuclear Medicine Technologist :
- Imaging & Equipment Use : Operate Siemens Biograph mCT 64 and Medrad Intego injector for high-quality PET / CT imaging and radiopharmaceutical delivery.
- Radiopharmaceutical Prep : Handle, administer, and document FDG, Posluma, Amyvid, Dotatate, and related agents following USP
and radiation safety standards.
Patient Care & Screening : Assess patients for contraindications, explain procedures, and provide supportive care throughout imaging.Workflow & Documentation : Perform venipuncture, glucometer checks, enter charges, and verify DICOM image transfer to MIM and PACS systems.Facility & Compliance Support : Clean rooms, restock supplies, and ensure equipment and spaces meet cleanliness and regulatory guidelines.Qualifications for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist :
Education : Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program is required.Licensure : Must hold or be eligible for a Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license (RT) and must have national certification.Certification : ARRT (N) or CNMT certification is required, along with BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).Experience : 1+ years of experience in a clinical or academic medical center, with hands-on PET / CT experience strongly preferred.Technical Skills : Proficient in venipuncture, operation of PET / CT systems, radiopharmaceutical handling, EMR entry, and PACS workflows.Skills & Attributes : Safety-focused, organized, and detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Application Notice : Qualified candidates will be contacted within 2 business days of application.
