We are seeking an Income Tax Intern for Summer 2026 who is passionate about accounting and business, driven by curiosity, and keen to grow, learn, develop, and thrive in our high-performance culture. This opportunity will be a 10-week, paid internship beginning May 27th, 2026. This internship will be based at our North American Headquarters in Chicago, IL.

What You'll Accomplish

This internship will allow students to apply their accounting and business skills and gain hands-on work experience. Students will work on critical projects supporting tax, finance, and accounting functions across multiple product lines. The internship will provide students with the opportunity to contribute to the corporate tax functions. During the internship, students will be fully functioning team members within the tax department with responsibility for various tax and finance tasks for Amrize.

Key Responsibilities

• Compiling income tax records for audit defense
• Analyzing financial data for tax reporting purposes
• Responding to corporate income tax queries from state tax authorities
• Preparation of payment requests
• Preparation of gross receipts returns
• Special projects, including the implementation of tools such as Alteryx and AWS
• Participate in the process improvement meetings
• Process documentation

Schedule And Environment

This is an on-site role; the intern will be expected to be on-site Monday - Friday and work an 8-hour shift (40 hours per week is mandatory). In this internship position, you will be working in Chicago, IL. You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from your worksite for the summer. Throughout the duration of your internship, you may be required to travel for site tours, shadow experiences, or intern events.
