Position Description This onsite role supports major program initiatives and involves hands-on development of designs that meet rigorous operational and manufacturing standards. You will work side-by-side with engineering, manufacturing, quality teams, and customers to ensure designs are functional, producible, and compliant. Responsibilities include : Design mechanical and electro-mechanical components, assemblies, tools, and systems using Creo 9 Apply GD&T and perform tolerance analysis to meet functionality and manufacturability goals Translate concepts into 3D models and detailed design packages following military and ASME standards Review and prepare detailed drawings, schematics, test plans, and procedures Support Model Based Definition (MBD) and integration into modeling / simulation platforms Evaluate material selections, finishes, tolerances, and production feasibility Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure all contractual and technical requirements are met Check completed documentation for completeness, accuracy, and standards compliance Support ongoing product improvements and new development efforts Skills Required Proficiency in Creo 9 and 3D CAD modeling Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis Experience with military specifications and MILSPEC / STD's Understanding of manufacturing methods and human factors in design Knowledge of MBD is a major plus Experience Required At least 9 years of design / drafting experience using Pro-E / Creo CAD systems Experience developing advanced mechanical designs and engineering documentation Education Required Associate degree in engineering drafting / design or equivalent training and experience Minimum of 9 years of total experience, including 5 years with advanced design applications Benefits : Health Insurance 401k Pay Range : $49.00 - $54.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications) By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from HEPCO, Inc and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
