Job description

Contracts Administrator

As a Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and overseeing contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and teaming agreements. You will ensure compliance with government regulations such as FAR and ITAR, collaborate with various teams to support proposal strategies, and mitigate contractual risks. You will also serve as the primary contact for contract-related communications with government agencies and prime contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and teaming agreements.
  • Ensure adherence to FAR, ITAR, and other applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with business development and proposal teams to review RFPs / RFQs and support bid strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks, including flow-down requirements and indemnification clauses.
  • Work closely with legal, finance, procurement, and program management teams.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and support internal / external audits.
  • Develop and refine contract templates, workflows, and training materials.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related communications with government agencies and prime contractors.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in contracts management.
  • Aerospace & Defense experience, with experience in DoD, NASA, or other federal agencies preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FAR and other federal acquisition regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in redlining and legal language.
  • Comfortable with client interfacing.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • ITAR compliance.
  • BA degree required, master's degree preferred.
  • Technical experience, especially in complex aerospace products.
  • An established network of customer contacts in the space marketplace.
  • Understanding of aerospace digital hardware, embedded software, and sensors.
  • Familiarity with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracting.
  • This position is 100% onsite with a flexible schedule around core hours of 10-3. You will be part of a team of 35 people, acting as the main contracts person with support from executives and the engineering team. The role offers the opportunity to lead and grow the department.     Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00 / hr.
