Job Description :

As an engineer supporting our front-end engineering and design (FEED) responsibilities & capabilities, some of the work you will be doing includes :

Estimating costs for interconnects and meter stations including labor, material, equipment, contractor and subcontractor costs for projects; meter stations cost analysis.

Create initial scope & estimate development of Tactical (? $10MM), Major ($10MM+), and Mega ($200MM+) expansion projects. We greatly support our business development & commercial services to define the technical and project-specific requirements for an understanding of clear project scope & develop a good project cost estimate for budget authorization.

Collaborate with commercial, project / business development, system planning, engineering, regulatory, environmental, government affairs, public outreach, and other stakeholders to identify the optimal set of project facilities to meet customer requirements.

Prepare Class III, IV & V estimates for green & brown field interconnect & meter stations.

Capacity studies for interconnects.

Provide preliminary desk-top scope & estimate document for reimbursable interconnect projects.

Communicate with various stakeholders, seek feedback, project buy-in to determine the optimal set of project facilities to determine if the project will be financially successful.

Contact vendors, suppliers, and other contractors to seek cost / budgetary data to support the project cost estimates.

Interact with multiple organizations to review, discuss project scope & estimate.

Interface / communicate with external customers to discuss project scope and associated costs.

Create preliminary meter station schematics.

Assist in review of Interconnect & Facility Agreements.

Role Overview :

As a FEED Engineer, you’ll work independently on projects and technical assignments that directly impact our operations. Your extensive knowledge of processes and ability to evaluate, innovate and handle numerous projects are vital to this role. You may be asked to prepare and deliver presentations and lead small, specialized teams to identify and resolve technical and project management issues.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.

3-5 years of relevant engineering experience (cost estimating).

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Suite (MS Excel, Power BI).

Must Have :

Strong cost estimating expertise for labor, materials, equipment, and contractor / subcontractor costs.

Experience preparing Class III, IV, and V estimates for greenfield and brownfield interconnect or meter station projects.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for cost modeling, analysis, and reporting.

Solid understanding of FEED processes and early-stage project development within energy or pipeline infrastructure.

Experience collaborating across commercial, regulatory, environmental, and engineering functions.

Strong communication skills for interfacing with vendors, suppliers, and external customers.

Ability to create preliminary design schematics and develop technical project scopes.
