Maintenance Supervisor - Spokane, WA
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and support the successful operation of our multi-family community portfolio in Spokane, WA. This full-time position plays a vital role in ensuring our properties are safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents. Position Overview
Under the direction of the Property Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees all physical maintenance and upkeep of the community. This includes routine and preventive maintenance, apartment turnovers, vendor coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and Fair Housing guidelines. Strong organizational abilities and a commitment to resident satisfaction are essential.
Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Supervisor maintains a professional, service-oriented presence that reflects our company's values and supports resident well-being. Responsibilities include maintaining the interior and exterior condition of buildings, common areas, and parking areas; completing work orders promptly; and ensuring the grounds remain clean, safe, and inviting. The role includes preparing and turning vacant units-typically within a 7-day timeline-while scheduling and overseeing vendors to ensure efficient and high-quality results.
This position also manages maintenance inventory, tools, and the workshop environment, ensuring all areas remain organized and operational. Supervisors support curb appeal efforts, assist leasing / management teams as needed, perform lock changes, and follow company safety policies. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience in maintenance, construction, property management, or a similar field. Experience in multi-family housing, painting, handyman services, or real estate maintenance operations is highly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
