Central line maintenance and care

Description :

This is a seasonal travel position for a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

The unit has a capacity of 20 beds and a staff of 51.

The day shift consists of one free charge nurse and nine bedside nurses, in addition to one patient care technician.

The night shift has one free charge nurse and nine bedside nurses.

The typical patient ratios are 1 : 2 or 1 : 1 depending on patient acuity.

The unit is equipped with Philips monitors, Alaris pumps, and Medfusion IV pumps.

Electronic medical record documentation is done using Meditech.

We are particularly seeking candidates with experience in post-operative cardiac care and venous puncture.
