JOB SUMMARY : The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Division of Research and Innovation invites applicants for a 12-month research faculty position level (non-tenure track). The position is an external grant-funded position. Outstanding candidates from all areas of Pharmaceutical Sciences will be considered. We especially encourage applications from candidates working in the areas of Pharmaceutics, drug discovery and development, especially Pharmacokinetics (PK) / Pharmacodynamics (PD), and PK / PD modeling. The new faculty member will be expected to carry out a vigorous, externally funded research program, including research projects for graduate students in the PhD program, advise students, and participate fully in teaching graduate students in the program. This appointment is non-tenure track and is subject to annual review. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS : Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in scholarly research and teaching. Responsibilities for this position will include conducting rigorous academic research, teaching graduate-level courses, and contributing to a dynamic faculty team in the expansion of the doctoral program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at TSU. The work distribution will be approximately 50% research, 40% teaching, and 10% service for the first three years of the appointment.
