Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently looking for a Platform Engineering Manager to join our Information Technology Team. The ideal candidate will be located in Indianapolis / Central Indiana.
The Platform Engineering Manager will lead, mentor, and develop a team of platform engineers focused on building scalable, reliable, and self-service developer platforms. This position focuses on building and optimizing internal developer platforms, ensuring seamless integration of infrastructure, automation, and cloud-native technologies to support engineering teams. Additionally, in support of our vision, the Platform Engineering Manager will drive continuous improvement in platform capabilities, manage technical talent, and cultivate strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements
Qualifications and Responsibilities for the Platform Engineering Manager :
5 - 7 years of related experience, preferably in the insurance industryProven experience supervising engineers delivering infrastructure projects and operations tasksImplement and promote DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices, including monitoring, alerting and automated remediationDegree in computer technology or closely related field, preferredEnsure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements while maintaining developer agilityStrong interpersonal communication skills required for effective communication at the staff, peer, and executive levels of the organization, along with vendors and other contacts while managing a projectExperience with Windows, SQL Server, Azure, Office365.Why work for Indiana Farmers Insurance?
