We are seeking a highly skilled & experienced full-time Process Mold Tech to join a top-tier custom manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of injection molding processes, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, & a proven track record in mold set-up & optimization. This role is crucial in maintaining the company’s reputation for producing high-quality custom parts & components for various industries. Duties include: Removing, installing, & setting up molds in machines; Performing mold changes & set-ups efficiently & accurately; Troubleshooting & resolving issues related to injection molding processes, machinery, & molds; Optimizing molding parameters to ensure consistent product quality & maximize efficiency; Managing job completion dates against work schedule; Conducting regular preventive maintenance on injection molding machines & auxiliary equipment; Inspecting molded parts for quality & conformance to specifications; Documenting process parameters, quality control data, & maintenance activities; Collaborating with quality control teams to improve processes & product quality; Training & mentoring machine operators in support of production; Ensuring compliance with safety regulations & company policies. Required qualifications: High school diploma/equivalent (Associate's degree in plastics technology or related field preferred); Min. 3 yrs exp. in injection molding processing, with focus on process optimization & troubleshooting; At least 3 yrs exp. in mold set-up, including hot runner systems & multi-cavity molds; Strong understanding of plastic behavior, material properties, & processing parameters; Ability to read & interpret technical drawings, specifications, & process documentation; Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills; Strong communication & teamwork abilities; In-depth knowledge of injection molding machine operation & maintenance; Extensive knowledge of injection molding machines, processes, & materials; Proficiency in adjusting & optimizing molding parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, cycle time); Exp. with various types of molds, including hot runner systems & multi-cavity molds; Familiarity with auxiliary equipment such as dryers & temperature controllers; Understanding of polymer chemistry & material behavior during molding process; Knowledge of mold design principles.
