We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist I to become an integral part of our dynamic Operating Room team. At Advocate Health, you will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal patient care by providing an efficient, clean, and safe surgical environment.

Job Highlights :

  • Full-time position with evening shifts (8 or 10 hours)
  • Highly competitive pay range : $26.10 - $39.15
  • Location : Aurora St Lukes Medical Center, 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215
  • Benefits Eligible : Yes
  • 40 hours per week

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensuring instruments and materials are ready for surgical procedures.
  • Assist with surgical procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
  • Ensure operating room cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
  • Transport patients and maintain equipment, following proper safety protocols.
  • Participate in lifting and positioning patients, utilizing appropriate techniques.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of age-appropriate patient care requirements.

    • Qualifications :

  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • No prior experience required; we value new talent eager to learn!

    • Physical Requirements :

    Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and be exposed to various hazardous conditions in a surgical environment. Personal protective equipment is required.
