We are seeking an energetic, dedicated person to fill a Practice Manager position at our nephrology practices in Aurora and Lone Tree, CO.
The primary responsibilities of this position are :
Leadership & Management Skills
- Team Leadership : Ability to manage physicians, nurses, front office, and billing staff.
- Conflict Resolution : Handle interpersonal issues diplomatically.
- Strategic Planning : Develop and implement short- and long-term goals.
- Decision-Making : Make informed decisions quickly and confidently.
Healthcare & Regulatory Knowledge
Medical Terminology : Understanding of clinical terms and workflow.Compliance Knowledge : Familiarity with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and state regulations.Credentialing & Licensing : Oversee provider credentialing and renewals.Risk Management : Identify and mitigate clinical and legal risks.Financial & Operational Skills
Track expenses, revenues, and profitability.Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) : Knowledge of billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), insurance claims, and collections.Data Analysis : Use practice management software reports to make informed deciTechnology Proficiency
EMR / EHR Systems : Experience with systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.Practice Management Software : Scheduling, billing, and patient records.Basic IT Troubleshooting : Ability to navigate minor tech issues and coordinate with IT.Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Patient Relations : Handle patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.Staff Communication : Clear communication of goals, feedback, and expectations.Physician Liaison : Act as a bridge between physicians and administrative staff.Please note that this is not an all-inclusive list of the responsibilities of the position.Qualifications / Requirements :
Work experience as a Medical Office Manager (3+ years strongly preferred)Proficiency using software applications including EMR and practice management software, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooksUnderstanding of HIPAA requirements, OSHA regulations and Infection Control StandardsKnowledge of human resources management practices and procedures, and laborlawsKnowledge of medicalbillingKnowledge of regulations related to commercial insurance, Medicaid, andMedicareExperience in accounting and administrative practices and proceduresExcellent written and verbal communicationskillsAbility to work independently, multitask and perform well in stressful situationsStrong interpersonal, customer service, time management and prioritization skillsPhysical Job Requirements :
