Job description

Responsibilities

  • Materials characterization through metallurgical and chemical means
  • Coordinating / conducting materials testing using internal and third-party suppliers
  • Hands-on operation of Metallurgical Lab equipment including hardness testers, metallography equipment, and digital and scanning electron microscopes
  • PERSON REQUIREMENTS

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Hands-on (course work included) experience working in a Metallurgical Laboratory environment characterizing and testing materials or hands-on experience working at shot floor (manufacturing)
  • WE VALUE

  • Familiarity with metallic materials, . corrosion resistant steels, aluminum, titanium, nickel and cobalt based alloys, etc
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team of design engineers, project engineers, chief engineers, customer support, etc
  • Familiarity of SAE, AMS, ASTM and AWS specifications is of value
  • Peer collaboration and strong focus on meeting customer commitments
