Senior Engineer, Data (Remote - US)

The Senior Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale data solutions to support analytics, business intelligence, and enterprise data management. You will lead efforts to modernize data pipelines, data warehouses, and datalakes while ensuring cost-efficient and secure cloud operations. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business goals and healthcare data standards. You will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and big data systems to enable data-driven decision-making. The position offers a remote-first, flexible work environment with opportunities to influence strategic data initiatives and contribute to impactful projects in a mission-driven organization.

Accountabilities

• Architect, design, and implement datalakes, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines for enterprise-scale analytics.
• Deploy and manage secure, cost-effective AWS (or cloud) environments across multiple availability zones and regions.
• Collaborate with internal departments and business stakeholders to define strategic data architecture and roadmap improvements.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize complex business programs and data processes.
• Ensure alignment of enterprise data with standards such as FHIR for healthcare applications.
• Evaluate and recommend OSS / COTS solutions to enhance data operations and governance.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle : design, implementation, testing, and support.
