Job summary :
Responsible for preparing and serving beverages directly to customers seated at the bar as well
as in the lounge area or at dining tables. Also responsible for food service to those guests seated at the bar.
Must be willing and able to :
Arrange and set up beverages, beverage mixes and supplies in an efficient and professionalmanner according to standing operating procedure
Complete all side work when and as assignedPrepare ingredients needed for recipes of mixed beveragesSafely use equipment and utensils as prescribed in preparation of beveragesPrepare beverages according to prescribed recipes including alcohol contentUse proper method according to standing operating procedure to ensure exact alcohol pourmeasures
Count and be responsible for cash drawerOperate all functions of bar service alone and without assistance if necessaryTake and fill food orders from guests seated at the bar utilizing available communicationequipment including computer register system
Communicate cordially, clearly and effectively with co-workersCommunicate with guests in a friendly, courteous and service oriented mannerAccurately record and account for all items served to guests and other employeesAccount for and maintain security of bar stock inventoryRelate to guests pleasantly and with good humorPerform varied duties to ensure all aspects of bar service according to standing operatingprocedure
Assist host staff with answering telephonesRequirements
Qualification standards :
Must have 2 years of experience in full service bar or equivalent. Must have accurate
mathematic skills. Must have knowledge and experience in preparation of alcoholic beverages.
Must have thorough knowledge of types of liquors and wine and their distinctions and use.
