Job Description

Segula Technologies is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support new product introductions at a major OEM facility. This role focuses on methods development, line balancing and continuous improvement-ensuring production lines meet performance, safety, and quality targets throughout launch and ramp-up in collaboration with Manufacturing and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team on conducting time and motion studies, develop standardized work, and balance operator workloads to align with takt time using Pre-determined Time Standards like MTM, MOST or MODAPTS
• Train the team in customer new product introduction process
• Present the station readiness plan to steering committee and to the customer
• Present the line balance to the core launch team which will include product, engineering and operational team members.
• Lead throughput and bottleneck analysis to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate constraints.
• Provide direction to Station Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to implement design and process improvements.
• Ensure that the data for ergonomic evaluations using digital tools such as Process Simulate Human or ErgoMan is provided to the responsible team
• Validate PFMEA and process documentation for compliance and launch approval.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) workshops and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Track and report launch metrics including cycle time adherence, first-time quality, downtime, and throughput performance.
• Support pilot builds, tool tryouts, and process validation during pre-production phases.
