Working Hours
The Engineering Technician will perform tasks during the Government's primary operational hours, Monday through Friday, 6 : 00 AM through 6 : 00 PM. Normal office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM. Telework may be authorized with coordination with the COR and authorized by the Contracting Officer (CO).
Engineering Technician
Summary of Duties
The Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) is the medical certification, education, research, and occupational medicine arm of the Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM) under the auspices of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Aviation Safety (AVS). The Aerospace Medical Research Division of CAMI (AAM-600) is located at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Aerospace Medical Research Division accomplishes the following core functions in support of the FAAs aviation safety mission. The Engineering Technician will support the Forensic Sciences Section in processing incoming toxicology specimens (primarily biological specimens, including blood, urine, and tissues), etc.
