Physician Assistant (PA) - INTERVENTIONAL SPINE

JOB TITLE :   Physician Assistant

REPORTS TO :  Supervising Physician

FLSA STATUS :  Exempt

JOB SUMMARY :   The Physician Assistant (PA) will work with our Interventional Spine Physician to evaluate & develop treatment plans for patients suffering from acute and / or chronic spine and joint pain and dysfunction. Our NPs exercise autonomy in medical decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Examine patients, obtains medical histories, and assesses health status.
• Assesses patient health status, including state of wellness and compliance with care plans.
• Provides chronic patient care, including taking histories, performing physical examinations, monitoring therapies, and prescribing medications.
• Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems.
• Evaluate and assess patients independently under physician supervision and order interventional procedures as indicated.
• Documents patient information and care provided in the patient record.
• Educate patients and families as appropriate. Provides continuity of care.
• Monitors therapies and provides continuity of care.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Other duties and assignments as necessary.
