Job Title : Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Join our dynamic team where you will lead and own projects from start to finish. In this role, you'll engage in the complete product lifecycle, starting with requirements review and potentially working with legacy systems and hardware. You will conduct thorough testing and integration, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality products. This position involves both design and testing, with an emphasis on integration efforts that may lead to innovative design solutions.
Responsibilities
Review requirements and legacy systems to understand project needs.
Lead the development process from concept to delivery, ensuring adherence to cost, scope, and schedule.
Engage in prototype building, debugging, and testing using bench-top equipment.
Develop Test Program Sets (TPS) and aviation test equipment throughout the product lifecycle.
Interface with test systems and units under test to ensure proper testing and integration.
Design electrical circuits and allocate resources to meet test requirements.
Communicate with customers regarding developmental efforts.
Analyze and evaluate electronic components and systems for performance and reliability.
Conduct experimental tests and evaluate results for continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in electrical engineering with full lifecycle experience.
Expertise in Altium for circuit board design.
Experience with NI product software such as Test Stand, CVI, and LabVIEW.
Ability to develop systems to requirements and verify those requirements.
Familiarity with US Air Force and / or Navy aviation maintenance structure.
Experience in product development through production.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with support equipment development in compliance with industry standards.
Familiarity with government FAR and D-FAR regulations.
Experience with PXI or similar technologies.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or CMMI quality process standards.
Experience with the development of automated test systems and test program sets for various aircraft systems.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00 / hr.
