Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Labor and Delivery Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 10 weeks 48 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery / Postpartum (LDRP) position requiring 2 years of recent LDRP experience and relevant certifications. Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery / Postpartum unit with 29 beds and 1 OR suite Care for approximately 1500 patients per year with high-risk LDRP and GYN surgical cases Shifts are 12-hour nights from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM Weekend rotation is every other weekend Must float to any facility within Region 1 as needed and within scope of practice Shift schedule is provided in 6-week cycles Patient ratios are acuity based Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors, GE Corometrics fetal monitors, and GE Panda Warmers No on-call responsibilities No remote telemetry monitoring Duties include caring for high-risk obstetric patients and GYN surgical cases, providing lactation support, and performing newborn procedures such as heel sticks and 24-hour testing Work with a multidisciplinary team including OB techs, CNAs, case managers, respiratory therapists, OB physicians, pediatricians, and lactation consultants Hospital-issued navy blue scrubs required while at work; business casual attire allowed to and from work Parking is free for staff Must be able to float mid-shift if required, with compensated travel time between facilities May take up to 6 days off (excluding holidays); time off beyond this must be added to the contract Holiday coverage is required for 75% of holidays scheduled during the contract Requirements Active RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP Must be skilled in all aspects of LDRP care, including circulating c-sections, newborn care, NAS scoring, and lactation support Experience with Epic charting preferred NCC-EFM or RNC-OB certification preferred First-time travelers will not be considered Must live at least 50 miles from home unit per radius rule Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-602269.
