Overview

The NBC News Breaking News Specials team seeks a seasoned Senior Producer to drive our weekend breaking-news coverage and contribute to Specials / Nightly News. You will lead editorial and operational execution when news breaks, ensuring broadcasts are fast, accurate, and compelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead live breaking-news coverage during major events
• Coordinate with control-room staff, on-air talent, and field reporters
• Make split-second editorial decisions that uphold accuracy and clarity
• Serve as the primary editorial lead for Saturday and Sunday coverage for NBC News Specials and NOW
• Contribute to Specials / Nightly News on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Collaborate with the Specials team on major-event planning and execution
• Partner with technical, graphics, audio, and talent departments to maintain top-tier production quality
• Produce live cut-ins, special segments, and additional content as needed

Salary range : $125,000 - $170,000
