Process Engineer (Chicago)

Our client, a leading manufacturer of food packaging products, is seeking a Paper Process Engineer to join their team in Chicago, IL.

You will play a key role in managing and improving process control systemsfrom raw materials to finished products. This is an exciting opportunity to lead projects, optimize production efficiency, and drive innovation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

• Manage and complete projects of varying sizes and durations
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and designers to optimize processes
• Lead process failure investigations and implement long-term solutions
• Conduct feasibility studies for fabrication and processing improvements
• Assist with assembly and disassembly of process equipment
• Troubleshoot and implement engineering solutions to enhance operations
• Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment and processes
• Work closely with production teams to improve efficiency and product quality
• Create test parameters and analyze performance data for process optimization
• Develop and execute continuous improvement plans
• Mentor and guide junior engineers
