About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 Hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience is required.

License : Compact or state license required upon submission.

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS preferred.

Must-Have :

• Telemetry experience.
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.

Description :

Please ensure you are aware of potential natural disaster impacts in the region.

You may be assigned to an emergency team during storms.

Expectations include staying at the facility until the storm passes.

Your unit manager will provide further details during storm impacts.

If you are uncomfortable with these conditions, please reconsider applying during hurricane season.

The patient population will consist of adults and geriatrics.

Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, coronary artery disease, diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease exacerbations, COVID-19, transient ischemic attack, stroke, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, bradycardia, tachycardia, infection, cellulitis, and gastrointestinal bleeding.

Special procedures performed include pre-and post-angiogram / angioplasty, permanent pacemaker / automated implantable cardioverter-defibrillator insertions, LINQ recorder placement, general surgical procedures, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, wound debridement, chest tube insertion, central line catheter insertion, thoracentesis, and paracentesis.

Special equipment used includes telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, and wound vacs.

The unit may require floating, depending on staffing needs.

Two patient ratios will be maintained during day, night, and weekend shifts.

Waiver for pre-approved time off must be addressed prior to scheduling.

Additional unit support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, translation, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.

Candidates must have documentation ready for references if needed, but these are not mandatory for submission.

All certifications must be submitted in PDF format.
