Responsibilities Work in a Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool setting, floating to various units including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum / mother baby Night shifts available with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week, typically 4x12 hours (19 : 00–07 : 00) 13-week contract assignment Required to work every other weekend and at least 2 out of 3 winter holidays Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed Epic EMR experience required Adherence to the facility's float policy is mandatory Responsible for providing patient care across a range of pediatric environments based on float assignments Must complete orientation modules specific to the specialty, with up to 16 hours non-billable Time off requests up to 40 hours are allowed per 13-week contract and must be disclosed prior to acceptance Must not have worked at the facility for more than 365 days in total as a traveler; 12 months separation required for rehire eligibility No local radius restrictions for this position First time travelers may be considered Scrub or dress code policies will be shared upon orientation Requirements Active VA or compact RN license; pending license accepted but must be in hand by Wednesday before start Minimum of 2 years PICU experience required Experience in both PICU and NICU settings required BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required Dr Browns Infant Driven Feeding certification required (may apply with pending certificate) Epic documentation system experience required BSN preferred Two professional references required Nursys verification needed for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628450.
