Your Role

We design spaces, services and environments for organizations seeking new ways to innovate and improve the interior workplace. As a result of a diverse workplace client base and increasing project work with Clients throughout the technology sector, we are searching for a Designer with an interest in interiors to join our team in San Francisco.

As a Gensler Designer, your job will be to combine creativity and technical knowledge to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You have exceptional design skills, a background in interiors or architecture, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. You will collaborate with our broader design team to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate an architect's sketches and documents into realized 2D / 3D models and images, and can research artistic and / or technical issues when they arise. What You Will Do

• Collaborate on projects to hone your skills in programming, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Brainstorm interior architecture approaches to meet the Clients' needs
• Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
• Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
• Collaborate within our team structure to deliver the best work for our Clients
• Partner with product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators to develop a knowledge of finishes and furniture
• Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
• Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
• Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
