About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 1 year of acute care rehabilitation experience required.

License : Active nursing license required.

Certifications : BLS certification required.

Must-Have :

• EPIC experience required.
• EKG exam pass required for all RNs.
• No first-time travelers will be accepted.

Description :

The position involves providing specialized care for patients in a rehabilitation setting.

Candidates must have experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities include the interpretation of laboratory results and medication reconciliation.

Essential tasks involve dressing changes and setup of aseptic / sterile procedure trays.

Candidates should be knowledgeable in capillary blood draws, labeling specimens, and phlebotomy.

Telephone triage and handling pharmacy calls / patient refill requests will be part of the role.

The patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics with conditions such as CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, and generalized debility.

Ratios will be maintained at 1 nurse to 6 patients.

Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and available for required weekend and holiday shifts.

Travel between different facilities may be required based on the needs of the organization.

All travelers will be subject to compliance requirements and must have their documentation completed by the designated deadline.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong assessment and patient management skills.

Experience with managing ventilated patients and knowledge of infection prevention protocols is advantageous.

This position involves working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

The candidate will also be responsible for patient education, pain assessment, and management.

Additional responsibilities may include wound care, urinary catheter management, and dietary adaptation support.
