SUMMARY
The Purchasing Agent handles a wide range of procurements of supplies, equipment and services ranging from moderate to high financial exposure.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicates with suppliers, and internal project managers to develop technically sound procurement documents.
- Evaluates sourcing, bid and order documentation (requisitions, change orders, quotes).
- Initiates, monitors, amends and closes out standard purchase orders.
- Prepares competitive and non-competitive procurement justification, including market research.
- Performs cost or price analyses and recommends options that best meet customer requirements.
- Administers negotiations of terms and conditions for each procurement and ensures all applicable purchasing documents accommodate each procurement according to internal and external audit requirements.
- Requests quotations for general material needs.
- Orders parts required for production of control panels.
- Issues detailed, cost coded purchase orders.
- Receives order inventory, processes return for damaged, incorrect or unnecessary products.
- Data entry, reporting, updates project bill of materials.
- Works under general supervision of the Purchasing Manager.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND / OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Minimum Experience : 2 years
Degree Required : High School Diploma
Certifications : None. Experience with SAGE CRE and KOJO Procurement Platform is a plus
Salary Range : $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
