Museum Maintenance Worker

Under the supervision of the Director, Building Operations and the Building Operations Manager, Museum Maintenance Workers perform general facilities maintenance work.

Essential Functions :

• Receive and respond to work orders.
• Perform routine interior and exterior building maintenance and repair.
• Fix and maintain machines, electrical equipment, plumbing, and museum lighting.
• Repair and paint walls, flooring, windows, and doors, and work on plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
• Perform all necessary duties associated with grounds maintenance, including cleaning of sidewalks and fountains, plowing snow and salting, spring clean-up, lawn restoration, and irrigation repair.
• Provide event support, to include moving, setting-up and tearing-down chairs, tables, and equipment in meeting and function rooms.
• Pick up supplies and office materials off-site and within the DIA and distribute these materials appropriately and as needed throughout the facility.
• Apply DIA values to interactions to support a culture of belonging among internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
