Job description

Title : Crew Member

Position Summary

Your main responsibility as a Crew Member is to deliver an "I Love It Here" experience to every guest.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :

Guest Engagement

  • Welcoming every guest with a smile.
  • Delivering fast, friendly and accurate service to all guests.
  • Answering guest questions related to the menu and suggestive selling to help the guest order.
  • Having knowledge of the various guest programs and technology such as Thanx, Kiosk and Online Ordering.

Product Excellence

  • Having full knowledge of the menu and ingredients profile for all Melt menu items.
  • Ensuring order accuracy upon guest delivery.
  • Monitoring ticket times to ensure food is delivered within THE MELT's speed of service guidelines.
  • Following recipes accurately during food prep as well as sandwich builds, salads, soups, sides, and shakes.

    • Restaurant Cleanliness and Food Safety

  • Following all Melt policies related to Uniform, Grooming and Personal Hygiene
  • Following all food safety and sanitation requirements and practices.
  • Ensuring Guest Areas such as dining room, restrooms are clean and well stocked at all times.
  • Ensuring your station (FOH or BOH) is clean and well stocked at all times.

    • Personal Conduct

  • Following all Crew policies and procedures related to successful employment at THE MELT.
  • Promoting teamwork to achieve restaurant goals.
  • Attending and being punctual to all scheduled shifts.
  • Communicating with fellow crew members in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Following all safety policies and procedures to eliminate risk of injury / illness for crew and guests.

    • Requirements / Qualifications

  • MUST BE HAPPY & at least 16 years old to apply.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including peak sales times, opening shifts, closing shifts, and weekends.
  • Prior experience not required but helps if you've worked in a restaurant, deli, café, fast food, coffee, retail or customer service.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to lift between 25-50 lbs.
