Responsibilities

Retirement Plan Payment Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that retirement plan participants receive their benefit payments accurately and on time. Your work supports both the technical and personal side of plan administration — helping employees access the savings they've worked hard to build.

  • Customer Service
  • Respond to questions from clients and referral sources in a timely manner. Be an advocate for

    Blue Ridge Associates in all interactions.

  • Transaction Administration
  • Accurately interpret plan documents to determine eligibility for participant transactions. Intake, review, process, and complete transactions in a timely manner.

  • Plan Administration
  • Coordinate with other service providers. Continually develop and increase knowledge of retirement plan rules and regulations.

  • Company Development
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to our company. Participate in working groups to enhance the organization's work product and internal processes.

    Requirements

  • 3+ years of customer service experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (ideally with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Math, Economics, or Statistics)
  • Provide quick and timely customer service
  • Comprehend and explain complex information to others
  • Aptitude in accounting and math
  • Must be able to quickly address, research, and solve problems
  • Meet deadlines and manage dynamic workloads
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and professional development
  • Maintain excellent organizational skills
  • Successful completion of a background check
