Clinical Lab Scientist

Responsibilities

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team in Clinical Laboratory Services. This position plays a crucial role in providing accurate and timely diagnostic testing to support patient care across various hospitals

• Perform a wide range of laboratory tests in multiple disciplines, including :
• Hematology : Complete blood counts, coagulation studies, blood bank procedures
• Chemistry : Electrolytes, enzymes, hormones, drug levels
• Microbiology : Bacterial culture and identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing
• Immunology : Autoantibody testing, serological markers
• Urinalysis and Body Fluids : Microscopic examination, chemical analysis
• Molecular Diagnostics : PCR testing, genetic analysis
• Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including analyzers, microscopes, and automated systems
• Ensure proper specimen handling, processing, and analysis
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests performed
• Adhere to strict quality control procedures and safety protocols
• Participate in departmental quality assurance activities and proficiency testing
• Collaborate effectively with other laboratory personnel, physicians, and nurses
• Assist with training and mentoring of new staff members
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and
