Competitive Compensation and Benefits

Newly created role focusing on large and complex public foundation returns.Exclusive work on 990 series returns, with strong preference for candidates experienced in Form 990‑PF.Advanced familiarity with accounting and tax reporting for non‑marketable investments, K‑1s, basis tracking, Forms 926, 8865, 5471, etc.Understanding of basic U.S. entity structures for tax purposes, including entity disregarded status.De‑consolidating financial statements for reporting tax returns of subsidiary organizations.Responsibilities
Review and / or prepare federal and state returns for exempt organizations.Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client affairs.Assist clients with challenging tax compliance issues.Prepare internal memoranda, written correspondence / guidance, and other documents for distribution to clients.Manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals.Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients in key tax‑exempt areas.Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills, and ability to work both independently and on a team.Plan and schedule engagements with clients and firm resources to consistently meet deadlines.Perform detailed and timely reviews of tax workpapers and provision calculations completed by associates.Ability to mentor and develop staff.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent.Five or more years of tax experience serving tax‑exempt clients, not‑for‑profits, foundations, and 990 returns.Tax research capabilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, accounting, and financial planning concepts.Ability to master tax rules applicable to non‑profits.Effective time management skills for meeting due dates.Experience mentoring and supervising staff.Interested in hearing more?
