We are seeking a Tax Senior Manager who can lead engagements, guide our teams, and deliver high-quality results while managing both onshore and offshore resources.
Position Summary
As a Tax Senior Manager , you will oversee the delivery of tax compliance and consulting services to a diverse client base. You will lead multiple engagement teams, manage client relationships, and play a key role in integrating and managing offshore team members to support firm growth and efficiency. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and a collaborative mindset suited for a dynamic middle-market environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and review complex business, individual, and trust tax engagements for a diverse client portfolio.
- Manage workflows between domestic and offshore teams to ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Train and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional development.
- Review tax returns and related workpapers, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Provide clients with proactive tax planning, research, and consulting on key business decisions.
- Partner with firm leadership on client service initiatives, process improvement, and staff development.
- Manage engagement economics — including budgets, billing, and profitability — while ensuring exceptional client service.
- Identify and develop opportunities for additional client services and contribute to business development efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master’s in Taxation preferred.Active CPA license required.7–10 years of progressive public accounting tax experience, including 2+ years in a management or supervisory role.Demonstrated experience managing offshore tax preparation teams or coordinating with global service centers.Strong technical knowledge in business and individual taxation, including multi-state experience.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Preferred Experience
Middle-market or regional firm background with exposure to closely held businesses.Proficiency in CCH Axcess, UltraTax , or similar tax software.Familiarity with offshore workflow management tools and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Asana).Why Join Us
