Sourcing & Procurement IT Manager

Accenture Sourcing & Procurement is growing and seeking to enhance our IT Center of Excellence with someone who fits our strong and vibrant culture. We are looking for a driven professional who is committed to building a great business and to having a seat at the table in making key decisions and influencing their career.The Manager will have a dedicated focus on Accenture's IT Center of Excellence to support all aspects of client-facing IT sourcing and cost optimization projects. The Manager will be expected to work closely with clients and suppliers to drive project initiatives and will lead consulting, problem solving, project management and data analysis that will be the basis for strategic client decision making. Further, the Manager will play an important role in deepening the expertise of Accenture's IT Center of Excellence and capturing knowledge to support business development opportunities while helping scale Accenture's IT capabilities.Typical client-facing projects would involve IT within the context of : Strategic sourcing and cost optimization (both within a company and across a portfolio of companies)Managed service support for strategic negotiations and software renewal pipelineProcurement opportunity assessment and opportunity roadmapProcurement transformationSpend analyticsMake vs. buy decision analysisBenchmarking and best practices implementationThe ideal candidate possesses some experience and exposure to IT procurement and / or negotiations across areas such as IT Services & Labor, IT Infrastructure, IT Software, and Telecommunications. The Manager will be expected to infuse Accenture's Sourcing & Procurement consulting business with their expertise across clients' IT spend stacks, while also building upon their current IT Procurement base and demonstrating a strong aptitude for learning.Specific Responsibilities include : Project ExecutionEnsure effective delivery of client project work and client deliverables through strong project management, team management, and client management skillsCreate robust sourcing strategies and recommendationsProvide IT thought leadership and benchmarkingManage project support resources and coordinate with subject matter experts within and outside of the firmDevelop and nurture relationships with clientsWork with contractors, consultants, and internal / external resources to align priorities, accomplish objectives, and satisfy all stakeholdersFacilitate development of project plans and overall project management to ensure effective delivery of client project work and client deliverablesContribute to the IT Center of Excellence's strategic decisions and directionExhibit integrity in decisions and firm relationshipsAchieve excellence and dependability through the execution of projects and initiativesBusiness DevelopmentSupport sales callsDevelop sales-support materialsProvide IT thought leadershipSupport development and review of client IT Spend summariesSupport development of new products and service offerings within IT practiceWork with team to identify and assess opportunities for savings and cost optimization through various IT sourcing leversPractice DevelopmentCreate and curate deliverable content (POV slides, case studies, whitepapers, etc.) to capture IT category knowledge and ultimately support internal knowledge share and business developmentDevelop and execute strategies to aggregate data for ongoing benchmarking, insight generation, and data analysisAssist with ongoing development and management of intellectual capitalHere's what you need : Minimum 5 years of relevant business experienceProcurement and sourcing experience, including exposure to IT negotiationsA bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related fieldStrong client services skills / orientation developed by working with either internal business customers or preferably external consulting clientsAbility to effectively plan and manage multiple projects, tasks, and / or initiatives simultaneously, especially related to IT projectsBonus Points If : You have a strategic sourcing AND consulting backgroundYou have a depth of IT category and procurement expertise in one or more of the following - hardware, software, infrastructure, networking, cloud services, laborStrong analytical skills including the ability to manage resources performing complex analytics to develop client decision support dataYou excel in building and developing relationships, overseeing complex programs, and demonstrating leadershipYou have deep experience in software sourcing, negotiations and contractingStrong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to present comfortably to senior executivesYou are comfortable in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environmentYou have earned an MBA or equivalent graduate degreePrior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e., Adobe Analytics, Google AnalyticsCompensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
