Staff Accountant

Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented staff accountant to join our client's team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and managing essential accounting tasks, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and contract administration. You will collaborate with team members, provide excellent customer service, and support month-end closing processes.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and update monthly order logs to ensure accurate tracking of financial data.
• Set up and oversee client contracts, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
• Process invoices and handle accounts payable transactions promptly and accurately.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding billing and resolve issues efficiently.
• Post financial transactions to the correct general ledger accounts and maintain accounting system integrity.
• Process payments related to leases and manage receivables from external organizations.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks, including reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, payroll, and financial records.
• Adjust inventory and asset records as needed to maintain accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive company and financial information.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative discussions to improve processes.
