Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer with a strong background in engineered-to-order (ETO) manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience interpreting technical blueprints, managing procurement activities through ERP systems, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of custom components and materials.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials, components, and services required for custom-engineered products.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with vendors.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand material and component specifications.
• Work closely with engineering, production, and planning teams to align procurement with project requirements.
• Utilize ERP systems to manage purchase orders, inventory levels, supplier data, and procurement workflows.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of purchasing activities and supplier performance.
• Support project timelines by ensuring materials are available when needed.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions or delays.
• Participate in cost reduction initiatives and supplier evaluations.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and accuracy.

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite in Menomonee Falls. The work environment involves working closely with cross-functional teams and utilizing advanced ERP systems to manage procurement activities. The position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00 / hr.
