Accounts Receivable Analyst - TP128800

The Accounts Receivable team is responsible for establishing institutional billing, collections, and revenue recognition best practices. It supports departments throughout the University in the areas of customer maintenance, billing, payment applications, collections and training. It provides processes and systems to ensure money due to the university are billed, collected and reconciled in a timely manner with appropriate internal controls over cash receipts. This position is responsible for performing duties in support of accounts receivable operations including, but not limited to, collections, portal administration, customer service tickets through Services & Support, and clean-up activities while maintaining accuracy of information recorded in the financial system.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

• Working knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.

• Two (2) years’ experience with account receivable/collections, cash application, reconciliation, invoicing, billing adjustments and customer service.

• Ability to research customer claims, disputes, and problem situations and utilize investigative skills to analyze Invoice disputes and internal documentation to resolve claims as appropriate.

• Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize, and perform basic financial analysis assignments.

• Ability to research collect, process and interpret financial and budgetary information.

• Demonstrated financial accounting skills, ability to comprehend and synthesize data into succinct and accurate recommendations.

• Demonstrated skill in financial planning, preparation and budget administration including the ability to correlate fiscal resources with programmatic needs.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing clearly and concisely.

• Demonstrated skill in presenting data and providing the analytical interpretation necessary.

• Proven experience and skill to audit financial data, format special financial reports and communicate budgetary information using complex data, rules, regulations and resource materials.

• Demonstrated ability using spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports. Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (i.e, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio) or related applications.

• Proven ability to apply knowledge of automated systems to resolve problems, recommend improvements and develop new processes.

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; excellent service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high-volume environment.

• Excellent verbal and communication skills in a helpful, courteous and informative manner on the telephone, in person and in writing.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

• Ability to function as a member of a team. Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.

PREFERRED

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, and/or Finance or an allied field and two (2) years of experience in budget analysis or financial administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in Oracle Financial Cloud (OFC) platform

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $52,100 - $87,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $24.95 - $42.10
