Aircraft Integration Lead
Lead integration of the Nomad hardware stack, SATCOM systems, and Platform Interface Modules (PIMs) into legacy and next-gen aircraft.Coordinate airworthiness documentation (AF Form 1067, flight-clearance data) with SPOs, OEMs, and test centers.Conduct SWaP-C analyses and platform trade studies to guide system configuration.Digital Engineering & Model-Based Design
Manage 3D CAD assemblies and interface control models within the government’s digital engineering thread.Provide real-time feedback to cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless system integration.System Integration Lab (SIL) Support
Design test fixtures and harnesses for aircraft representative SIL environments.Oversee integration testing (vibration, EMI / EMC, thermal) prior to developmental and operational flight tests.Flight Test & Fielding
Develop test plans, hazard analyses, and IATTs; support DT / OT as a flight or ground test engineer.Drive root-cause analysis and implement improvements for follow-on production.Program Execution & Leadership
Maintain integration milestones and brief readiness, risk, and cost metrics to stakeholders.Mentor junior engineers and promote agile, DevSecOps-driven hardware development.Minimum Requirements :
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is requiredActive TS / SCI clearance.B.S. in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering and 15+ years of aircraft modification or avionics‑hardware integration experience (military platforms highly desired) or a Masters degree plus 12 years of experience.Demonstrated expertise in structural analysis (FEM), weight & balance, wiring / HARNESS integration, and MIL STD environmental qualification.Hands on experience guiding systems from lab to flight test to fielding within USAF or DoD acquisition frameworks (AFI 63 101 / 20 101).Proficiency with CREO, NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks; familiarity with MBSE (SysML / CAMEO) a plus.Desired Qualifications :
Prior involvement in ABMS, OMS / UCI, CJADC2, or open architecture avionics programs.Working knowledge of multiband SATCOM hardware, NSA accredited crypto devices, and cross domain solutions.Experience authoring or reviewing Air Force flight clearance and air worthiness documentation (AF 879, AFCB, E Series).Agile / Scrum or SAFe certification; familiarity with DevSecOps toolchains in classified environments.
