A leading news media organization is hiring a Sr. Editor, Digital News Media in NYC for a full-time position, onsite 3 days a week. The role requires the ability to work 1 weekend day each week and holidays when needed.

Base pay range $115,000.00 / yr - $130,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities Work closely with leadership to drive daily content strategy across websites and social platforms.

Supervise a team of editors in crafting attention-grabbing headlines and selecting homepage story placements.

Use a combination of real-time analytics and editorial insight to guide content prioritization.

Operate within various CMS and social media management tools.

Manage testing of headlines and imagery to optimize user engagement.

Qualifications Must have news media background and knowledge of current events.

Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred.

Must have experience with homepage and social media.

3-5+ years of managerial experience

The capability of being a skilled, fast writer and self-editor under tight deadlines.
